During a meeting with the regional director of the International Finance Corporation for Europe, the discussion focused on public-private partnerships and potential projects.
The Deputy Minister of Economy, Samad Bashirli, met with Ines Rocha, the regional director for Europe at the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
The meeting highlighted that the economic reforms being implemented in our country are supported by international financial institutions. The expansion of Azerbaijan's cooperation with the IFC is crucial for promoting progressive practices and innovations within the country. Information was provided about Azerbaijan's socio-economic development priorities, the favorable business environment, and the opportunities created for investors. It was noted that the major projects in which our country participates have become a significant factor in achieving sustainable development in the region. It was emphasized that there are substantial opportunities for the implementation of public-private partnership projects in our country.
The parties discussed cooperation regarding COP29, public-private partnerships, and projects for the production of drinking water through seawater desalination, as well as potential projects in which the IFC could be involved.
