Strengthening economic cooperation with the Czech Republic discussed

Deputy Minister of Economy, Co-Chairman of the Joint Commission on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Czech Republic Sahib Mammadov accepted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Azerbaijan Milan Sedlacek and wished the Ambassador every success in his activities in our country.

Highlighting the potential for enhancing trade and economic partnership, the Deputy Minister noted that the Joint Azerbaijani-Czech Commission is a useful platform in this regard. As reported, there are wide opportunities for expanding cooperation between our countries in the areas of investment, trade, industry, innovation, transport, transit and tourism. In addition, cooperation with Czech companies in the smart city and smart village projects is also possible.

The meeting provided information on the favorable business and investment environment offered by Azerbaijan, restoration and construction work in our liberated territories, and invited Czech companies to actively cooperate with their colleagues from Azerbaijan.

Noting the fruitful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Azerbaijan Milan Sedlacek expressed satisfaction with the start of his activities in our country, and shared views on the areas for expanding relations.

The issues of development of trade and economic cooperation and partnership on investment projects were focused on at the meeting.
