Economy minister held meetings in Turkey

During the visit of the Minister of Economy to Turkey, the priority areas of economic cooperation and opportunities for strengthening partnership in several sectors were discussed.

During his visit to Turkey, Minister of Economy Mikayil Cabbarov met with Turkey's Minister of Trade, Omer Bolat. The meeting emphasized that, thanks to the efforts of the heads of state of both countries and their brotherly relations, economic cooperation has developed in all directions. It was noted that Turkey is Azerbaijan's second-largest trade and export partner, and increasing the number of products benefiting from preferential tariffs under the Preferential Trade Agreement has contributed to the growth of trade relations. Turkish companies were invited to take advantage of the favorable business environment created in the industrial parks in Azerbaijan's liberated territories.

The sides discussed the existing opportunities to strengthen Azerbaijan-Turkey economic partnership, increase trade turnover, actively support connections between SMEs and business units, and achieve common goals in investment promotion.

Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Turkey's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar during his visit to Turkey. The meeting highlighted the expanded economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey, particularly in the energy sector, where the two countries have implemented numerous significant projects. It was noted that cooperation in the energy sector not only contributes to the economies of both countries but also to the region, especially to Europe's energy security. Ongoing green energy projects in Azerbaijan were emphasized. Discussions were held on expanding cooperation in renewable energy, increasing green investments, and realizing the potential for further collaboration.
