Under the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated June 19, 2026, starting from January 1, 2027, 50% of the fee determined by the Tariff (Price) Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan for connecting industrial and agricultural enterprises to the electricity grid will be subsidized from the state budget in order to reduce the financial burden on entrepreneurs. As a result, entrepreneurs’ initial costs will decrease and their investment opportunities will expand.
To benefit from the support, the entrepreneur must first pay the full connection fee determined by the Tariff Council in a cashless form.
The support will cover a total of 23 areas of activity, including crop production, livestock farming, fisheries, food and beverage production, textiles, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, machinery and equipment, automotive, electronics, furniture manufacturing, and other sectors. Private enterprises, including industrial and agricultural enterprises in which the state holds up to 30% of the charter capital, will be eligible for the support. The mechanism will remain in effect until December 31, 2030.
Application procedure
Entrepreneurs wishing to benefit from the state subsidy may apply to the Ministry of Economy with the relevant documents after fully paying the connection fee determined by the Tariff Council in a cashless form.
