Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with the Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, co-chairman of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih. Minister of Economy emphasized that Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia economic relations are developing and business relations among business circles are expanding.
The minister noted the possibility of investing in the priority areas of the economy, expecially the participation of Saudi Arabian investors in reconstruction prosses of the liberated territories.
Khalid bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Falih, expressed his confidence on measures taken to strengthen cooperation between two countries, economic and trade relations, and spoke about the prospects of implementing new joint projects.
The sides exchanged views on the current developing position on economic and trade relations, new directions of cooperation in the field of investment.
As well as, Azerbaijan Ministry of Economy and the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the meeting. The document was signed by Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and Director General of the Fund Sultan Abdulrahman al-Marshad. The memorandum reflects the issues of the Fund's cooperation in financing development projects in areas which are priority for Azerbaijan.
After the meeting, the sides met with entrepreneurs, discussed expanding the business dialogue and listened to proposals.
