Azerbaijan-Israel Innovation Forum was held on February 13 at ADA University under the organization of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), the Israel-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IACCI) and the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM), with the support of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of Azerbaijan and "Nextstep" Innovation Center.
The event was attended by officials from both countries, representatives of various organizations, business associations, higher education institutions, experts and businessmen. The forum created an opportunity for the exchange of experience between Azerbaijani and Israeli businessmen in the field of technologies and innovations applied in the fields of education and agriculture.
Chairman of Israel-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alex Kaplun, Executive Vice-Rector of ADA University Fariz Ismayilzade and Chairman of the Board of Directors of KOBIA Orkhan Mammadov shared their views on the purpose of the forum, Azerbaijan-Israel relations, opportunities for entrepreneurs to cooperate in the field of innovation.
The event continued its work with panel sessions on general, educational and agricultural topics. Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov, Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Israel Mukhtar Mammadov and Head of Ramat-Negev Regional Council Eran Doron expressed their views in the general panel on the relations between Azerbaijan and Israel, the technologies applied in recent years in the fields of agriculture, education and science in our country, Azerbaijan-Israel cooperation in relevant fields and prospects for expanding relations in these sectors, digital economy, modern approaches applied in the restoration and reconstruction works carried out in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
The leaders of various educational institutions operating in our country and Israel and experts will discuss the challenges in the relevant field, the role of innovations in education, investment in this field, artificial intelligence, digital platforms, cooperation prospects in the panel on education ongoing throughout the day.
Technologies in the agricultural field, the role of innovations in increasing productivity, more efficient use of land and water resources, exchange of experience of Azerbaijani and Israeli businessmen in this field, realization of innovative ideas of agricultural start-ups and other issues will be exchanged in the panel on agriculture held with the participation of representatives of state and private institutions from Azerbaijan and Israel.
Bilateral meetings between start-ups and businessmen will also be held within the framework of the forum.
