Information was provided at the 15th meeting of the Working Group established in connection with Azerbaijan's membership in the WTO, on measures implemented for the purpose of sustainable economic growth, socio-economic priorities, trade development, integration into international trade, and improvement of the business environment.
The 15th meeting of the Working Group on Azerbaijan's WTO membership was held in Geneva with the participation of the Azerbaijani delegation led by Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov.
Chairman of the Working Group Alparslan Acarsoy noted at the meeting, the importance of the event in terms of the discussion of Azerbaijan's accession to the WTO.
Making a speech at the meeting, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov informed about sustainable economic growth of Azerbaijan, socio-economic priorities of our country, development of the trade sector, integration into international trade and reforms in the field of relevant legislation, measures implemented to improve the business environment, and work done for WTO membership.
The draft report of the Working Group was discussed at the event. Representatives of the WTO member countries expressed their opinions on the relevant clauses of the document, and their questions were answered.
