The Small and Medium Business Development Agency under the Ministry of Economy continues to meet with entrepreneurs. Another such meeting was organized on July 22 in the Gakh region. Entrepreneurs from Gakh and nearby regions and representatives of state institutions providing services to entrepreneurs in the region attended the meeting, organized by SMBDA and Gakh Region Executive Power.
The meeting involving entrepreneurs focused on the development needs of their business, heard proposals and troubles they encountered, and provided information on government support mechanisms, including support and services provided by SMBDA.
As part of the event, the business community of the region was introduced with SMBDA’s Small and Medium Business Friend (SMB Friend) for Gakh region, which is the 4th of this kind in the Shaki-Zagatala economic region. Currently, SMB Friends function in 35 cities and regions of the country.
Gakh SMB Friend Office will operate in Heydar Aliyev Center of the region, and provide comprehensive state support for the establishment of new business entities and the development of existing small and medium-sized businesses in the region. To this end, SMB Friend will take appropriate measures accompanied by support and services in the direction of protecting the interests of entrepreneurs, implementing investment initiatives, providing information on doing business, and solving the difficulties faced by entrepreneurs.
Chairman of SMBDA Board Orkhan Mammadov talked of the significance of the activities of SMB Friends in terms of providing on-site support to entrepreneurs and called entrepreneurs to close cooperation with the SMB Friend.
As part of the event, films were shown about the support mechanisms provided by the Agency to SMBs, and answers were given to questions of interest to entrepreneurs.
Visiting a bee farm in Gakh, representatives of SMBDA also took an interest in the work of the farm and the production of honey.
