It was the first meeting of the Management group established to coordinate the development of the Green City Action Plan for Ganja city

The city of Ganja joined the Green Cities Program of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) last summer as the first pilot city in Azerbaijan. The preparation of a "Green City Action Plan" for the selected city is the basis of this Program. The main goal of the Action Plan is to help the city solve environmental issues through investments and other measures to support the transition to a "green" future.

A Management group was organized under the leadership of the Ministry of Economy to supervise the development process of the "Green City Action Plan" and to ensure coordination in Ganja.

The first meeting of the Management Group was held in a virtual format under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Economy Sahib Mammadov and representatives from relevant state institutions. A preliminary report prepared jointly by the Project group and the consulting company, created to prepare the "Green City Action Plan" in Ganja, was presented to the Management group within the framework of the meeting.

An overview of the "Green City Action Plan" and the work done so far, the results of the meetings with the interested parties on survey and prioritization, the main objectives were reported, and discussions were held in the presentation of the preliminary report.
