The issues of supporting the COP29, "green" transition and energy security, public-private partnership projects were considered in the meeting of the Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov with the global director of climate business of the International Finance Corporation Jamie Fergusson.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Jamie Fergusson, global director of climate business of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), head of the COP task group.
The Minister of Economy emphasized the importance of relations with IFC in various directions and mentioned the importance of the institution's cooperation in the development of small and medium businesses in our country, public-private sector partnership and other fields. It was reported that implementation of projects with the Corporation in areas such as increasing energy efficiency, creating "green" energy zones, waste processing can contribute to regional development along with the strategic development goals of Azerbaijan.
Jamie Fergusson congratulated Azerbaijan on behalf of IFC on hosting COP29 and emphasized that the institution he represents is always ready to support, and positively evaluated the socio-economic reforms implemented in our country in order to achieve national development goals.
The parties reviewed COP-29 to be held in Azerbaijan this year, "green" transition, energy security, development of cooperation on public-private partnership.
