The Agency for Development of Economic Zones (ADEZ) organized a press tour to Tovuz Agro LLC’s agro-park located in Jeyranchol, Tovuz.
Media representatives were briefed on the activities of Tovuz Agro LLC and the work done, and reported that the agro-park specializes in 3 areas of activity – beef cattle breeding, farming and meat processing.
To date, 22.7 million manats have been invested in the agro-park. 75 people are provided with permanent work and 19 people with seasonal work in the agro-park, with a total area of 550 hectares.
In 2021, the agro-park produced 800 tons of barley, 1000 tons of wheat, 240 tons of corn, 973 tons of meat, and for 6 months of this year 1200 tons of wheat, 994 tons of barley, 465 tons of alfalfa and 362 tons of meat.
Tovuz Agro has a modern grain warehouse with a total capacity of 3,000 cubic meters, a feed mill with a production capacity of 10 tons per hour, and cold stores with a total capacity of 40 tons. The 1500-cattle livestock complex of the agro-park contains 1200 cattle.
A preferential loan in the amount of 7 million manats was provided by the Entrepreneurship Development Fund of the Ministry of Economy to the agro-park. In addition, thanks to the investment promotion document issued by the Ministry, 0.29 million manats was saved on the import of machinery, technological equipment and plants.
