Meeting between the Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and Vice President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Shixin Chen took place.
The Minister stressed that our country attaches great importance to cooperation with international financial and economic institutions, including the Asian Development Bank, and that the financial and technical support of the Bank is highly appreciated. ADB provides support to our country within regional projects implemented in the fields of energy, healthcare, education, digital development, risk management, and major projects are being implemented with the support of the Bank. As reported, the Country Partnership Strategy to be prepared in 2023 jointly with the Asian Development Bank for Azerbaijan will be significant in terms of expanding cooperation in potential areas.
Mr.Jabbarov also voiced that "Azerbaijan 2030: National Socio-Economic Development Priorities", which will ensure the transition to a new stage of development in Azerbaijan, has been approved, and that the implementation of 5 national priorities of socio-economic development of the country was identified as the main goal, bringing into attention the possibility of cooperation with the Asian Development Bank in this area.
Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank Shixin Chen expressed the Bank's interest in expanding relations with our country, stressing that the implementation of joint initiatives and projects would support the rapid development in Azerbaijan.
The sides further focused on areas of developing cooperation in various fields, technical assistance in the field of public-private partnership of the Bank and other issues of mutual interest.
