13 SMEs awarded "Startup" certificate in the first half of 2023

Projects that have received the "Startup" certificate include mobile applications and online services that cover innovative solutions in fintech, education, healthcare, tourism, business digitalization, e-commerce.

 

47 micro and small entrepreneurs applied to the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) under the Ministry of Economy for the issuance of the "Startup" certificate in January-June 2023. As per the "Criteria for determining a startup" approved by the Cabinet of Ministers' Decision dated January 29, 2021, the Council of Experts issued certificates to 13 SME subjects, 12 of which are micro and 1 is a small entrepreneur. Projects that have received the "Startup" certificate include mobile applications and online services that include innovative solutions in fintech, education, healthcare, tourism, business digitalization, e-commerce.

In total, so far, 94 micro and small business entities have been awarded the "Startup" certificate. 

The "Startup" certificate exempts SME entities from profit and income tax on their income from innovation activities for a period of 3 years from the date of receipt of the certificate.
