Strengthening of cooperation between the World Bank and our country, joint projects, as well as measures implemented in the diversification direction of Azerbaijan's economy and continuous improvement of the business environment were discussed.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with World Bank Operations manager for Azerbaijan Stefanie Stallmeister.
The Minister of Economy stated that Azerbaijan has successfully cooperated with the World Bank, and that the Bank's technical assistance and financial support projects are highly appreciated in our country. The minister noted that our relations with the World Bank are multifaceted. Cooperation with the bank in private sector diagnostics, innovations, digital development, development of management technologies, renewable energy and other fields is of particular importance in Azerbaijan in terms of applying advanced international experience and applying modern technology and innovations to our country.
Stefanie Stallmeister expressed her confidence that the Bank will continue close cooperation with the government of Azerbaijan in the direction of achieving the strategic development goals of our country, and shared her views on new directions of partnership.
