Economic reintegration of our liberated territories accelerating

More than 1,500 companies, including up to 500 foreign companies, applied for participation in the projects implemented in our liberated territories.

Purposeful economic reintegration measures are being implemented in our liberated territories along with construction of new and comfortable settlements, provision of infrastructure, utility, communication and social services and other works.

Creation of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur economic regions in our liberated territories, implementation of "smart city", "smart village" projects, "green technologies", commissioning of international airports, increasing transport and logistics capabilities and other indicators play an important role in the development of the region and increasing business attractiveness.

Result-oriented work is being carried out in our territories liberated from occupation in the direction of creating favorable mechanisms for business and promoting entrepreneurial activity that increases employment. Tax, social insurance and other benefits have been determined in these areas. All projects in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur are implemented within the framework of public-private cooperation. The government has created favorable conditions for investors and entrepreneurs in the liberated areas. Entrepreneurs are provided with infrastructure at the expense of the state in Aghdam and Araz Valley Economic Zone industrial parks. Residents here are exempt from income, property, land and simplified tax for 10 years. Imported machinery, technological equipment and devices are exempted from VAT and customs duties. In addition, the creation of new agroparks has started in the region. The foundation of the first such project - "Dost Agropark" was laid two years ago in Zangilan with the participation of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey. Currently, 3 agricultural parks are operating in the region. All this, first of all, creates conditions for local and foreign companies to start entrepreneurial activities in the region, create new jobs, and ensure employment.

The number of companies establishing and intending to establish business there is constantly increasing due to the economic attractiveness of the region. So far, more than 1,500 companies, including up to 500 foreign companies, have applied for participation in the projects implemented in our liberated territories. This indicator demonstrates how attractive Karabakh's large and multidirectional economic potential, favorable business and investment opportunities are for both local and foreign business organizations.
