Opinions were exchanged on the directions of development of Azerbaijan-EBRD relations, diversification of the economy, promotion of public-private partnership and projects implemented with the Bank's support.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with Matteo Patrone, the Executive Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The successful relations of Azerbaijan with the EBRD in various directions were emphasized at the meeting, and information was given about the socio-economic priorities of our country. It was pointed out that there are wide opportunities for cooperation in the direction of realizing the set development goals. Steps to be taken in this context in order to implement priority projects in "green" economy, energy, especially renewable and alternative energy, private sector development, infrastructure and other directions were discussed with the Bank.
Matteo Patrone mentioned the efficient cooperation of the Bank with our country and stressed that the economic potential of Azerbaijan creates a favorable basis for the bilateral ties. He also expressed the institution's intention to continue supporting the development of the economy of Azerbaijan.
