The directions of cooperation and issues on the agenda were discussed at the meeting with the delegation of the International Monetary Fund at the Ministry of Economy.
A meeting was held at the Ministry of Economy with the delegation led by the head of mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for Azerbaijan Mrs. Anna Bordo.
Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli reported about the economy of Azerbaijan, the works carried out within the framework of the socio-economic development strategy of our country for 2022-2026, the attraction of investments in territories liberated from occupation, the applied concessions and incentives. The deputy minister emphasized that the promotion of progressive experience and technological innovations in our country is emphasized within the framework of cooperation with international financial institutions, including the IMF.
Anna Bordon pointed out that mutual relations between the IMF and Azerbaijan are developing and shared her views on partnership.
The parties discussed the prospects for the medium-term period, development directions of the energy sector, recent reforms in the field of tax policy and administration, and planned measures for the next periods.
