The promotion of trade, innovation and public-private partnership, the prospects of relations within the SPECA region, and the possibilities of realizing the road map for the digitalization of the Trans-Caspian corridor were discussed at the meeting with the Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe Tatiana Molchan at the Ministry of Economy.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with the Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Tatiana Molchan as part of the SPECA (UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asian Countries) Week held in Baku.
The meeting noted the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals between Azerbaijan and UNECE, as well as the existence of close cooperation within the SPECA program. It was emphasized that the SPECA week held in Baku is useful in terms of development of relations between Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries in economic and trade, digitalization of transport infrastructure, transition to "green" economy, energy and other fields. Azerbaijan's efforts were appreciated in this regard.
The parties exchanged views on the priority directions of Azerbaijan-UNECE cooperation and the issues on the agenda, the promotion of trade, innovation and public-private partnership, the prospects of relations within the SPECA region, and the possibilities of realizing the road map for the digitalization of the Trans-Caspian corridor.
