Event held dedicated to role of technology in military-technical cooperation

Discussions were held within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Investment Forum on the topics of technology in the defense industry, investment opportunities and cooperation potential in the panel session on "The role of technology in military-technical cooperation".

​A panel meeting was held on "The role of technology in military-technical cooperation" in Baku within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Investment Forum.

Minister of Defense Industry Vugar Mustafayev, Adviser to the Chairman of Innovations and Digital Development Agency Shahin Aliyev, Deputy Chairman of ANAMA Board of Directors Samir Poladov, General Director of Sumgayit Technology Park Hijran Valehov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Titra" JSC Mahammad Selman Donmez, " General Director of Aselsan Company Ahmet Akyol, representative of "Azersilah Defense Industry Holding" OJSC Orkhan Yusibov participated in the discussions at the meeting.

​The event was moderated by Fuad Mammadov, deputy general director of the National Aerospace Agency.

Information was provided at the event on the measures implemented in the direction of further development of the defense industry of our country.

It was emphasized that the event plays an important role in the development of military-technical cooperation at the international level, in the establishment of business relations between military industrial enterprises, foreign and domestic companies that are producers of modern weapons and technologies. It was pointed out that the threats faced by the security systems of the countries of the world make it necessary to strengthen the defense capacity of each state, develop relations in the military-technical field, and increase the potential of the national defense industry. Azerbaijan, which has made important achievements in the direction of creating its strong defense industry in recent years, is already producing competitive, high-precision modern military products, fulfilling domestic and foreign orders in this field.

The panel discussed technology in the defense industry and investment opportunities in this field, reducing dependence on imports in the material and technical support of the armed forces, and made proposals.
