Panel session held on "Development prospects of health tourism in Azerbaijan"

Investment opportunities in the tourism and health sector, the application of Turkey's experience in this field and other issues were discussed in the panel session on "Prospects for the development of health tourism in Azerbaijan" within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Turkey Investment Forum.

Teymur Musayev, Minister of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Deputy Health Minister Ilgar Gasimov, Chairman of the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance Zaur Aliyev, Rashad Aliyev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau, President of Azerbaijan Health and Thermal Tourism Support Association Ruslan Guliyev, Ahmet Olmus, Deputy General Director of Turkish Airlines, director of "Asfarma" company Ender Kavuk participated in discussions and answered questions in the session moderated by Shuayip Birinci, Deputy Minister of Health of Turkey.

It was reported that health tourism has become an important type of tourism in the world with its rapid development in recent years. Resources for the creation and development of health tourism in our country, including in the territories liberated from occupation, are huge.

Thanks to the importance given to health tourism by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, new treatment complexes according to modern standards have been created in recent years, the existing tourism infrastructure has been updated and overhauled. The measures taken in this direction are calculated to demonstrate the prospects in the field of health tourism of the republic, as well as to achieve a new quality tourist flow to the country, as well as to attract foreign and domestic investments in this field.
