During the meeting with the delegation of the International Parliamentarians’ Congress (IPC), an exchange of views was held on the preparation process for COP29, and partnership issues were discussed within the framework of IPC's initiative regarding its Climate Change Think Tank.
First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev met with the delegation of the International Parliamentarians’ Congress (IPC).
During the meeting, it was emphasized that hosting the 29th session of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP29) in Azerbaijan demonstrates the country’s commitment to the development of a “green” economy and to addressing global climate challenges. It was noted that cooperation with international organizations will be a key focus within the COP29 framework, and that special attention is being given in Azerbaijan to promoting “green” energy and implementing measures to mitigate the impacts of global climate change.
The meeting included discussions on partnership opportunities within the framework of the IPC’s initiative to establish a Climate Change Think Tank.
